The Teqball World Series Beijing 2025 was co-hosted by the Fédération Internationale de Teqball (FITEQ), the Beijing Olympic City Development Association (BODA), the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports and the Chaoyang District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, with the guidance and support of the General Administration of Sport of China. Viktor Huszár, Chairman of FITEQ, spoke highly of the high-quality event organisation, which reflects the high efficiency and standard of Beijing, the first city and the only city in the world that has hosted both the Summer and Winter Olympics. As an emerging sport, Teqball has been developing rapidly in Asia and has already been included in the Asian Youth Games 2025, the Southeast Asian Games 2025 and the Asian Beach Games 2026. In recent years, FITEQ has collaborated closely with BODA and China’s sports authorities to rapidly advance the development of Teqball in China. This year, the Chinese team made history by finishing among the top eight for the first time. The Chairman expressed wishes for the Chinese team to achieve even greater success. He hoped that Teqball could be included in the Asian Games and the Olympic Games, and Beijing could host more international Teqball events in the future.

For example, activities were held to popularise Teqball in Beijing and Zhangjiakou, and Teqball bases were established at the Olympic Sports Centre and Tsinghua University this year. BODA has intensified efforts in cultivating Teqball referees. So far, a total of 33 C-Class referees and 15 B-Class referees have been trained. Some of them started officiating at this event. Through these efforts, BODA has contributed to establishing Beijing as a prominent host of international sports events.

High-ranking officials present at the event included Han Zirong, Executive Vice Chairperson of BODA; Fu Xiaohui, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of BODA; Fan Yanbing, Level I Bureau Rank Official of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports; Xia Rihong, Deputy Secretary General of BODA and Deputy Director- General of the Beijing Olympic City Development Centre; Wang Kun, Deputy Secretary General of BODA and Deputy Bureau Chief of the Beijing Olympic City Development Centre; Dong Jian, Director of the Management Committee of the Beijing Olympic Centre; Liu Ziyan from the No. 2 Sports Division of the Public Sports Guidance Centre of the General Administration of Sport of China; and Liu Jinjuan, Deputy Director of the Chaoyang District Sports Bureau. Upcoming relevant events include a campaign aimed at promoting the spirit of Beijing 2022 in government agencies, campuses, communities and villages, and the “Engaging 300 Million People in Winter Sports” themed exhibition. The Beijing Olympic City Sports Culture Festival has been held 16 times in a row, covering a total of over 20 million people.
