Representatives from National Olympic Committees in Ten Countries Visited and Inspected Rio de Janeiro Olympic Venues


May 8 (official website of Rio DE Janeiro Olympic Organizing Committee) – The delegation formed by the National Olympic Committee representatives from ten countries visited and inspected the four sports venues for Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games and Paralympics Games in region of Rio on Mat 7, which was a part of the Open Day for Olympic Committees of all countries.

The delegation visited the National Equestrian Center, Modern Pentathlon Park, National Design Center, Maracana Stadium, and the Olympic Village on the same day.  

This was the first visit of Rio Olympic venues by the delegation formed by 19 foreign experts from five European countries (Germany, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia and France), two Asian countries (China and Qatar), and two African countries (Botswana and Namibia) and there were also the members of Brazilian Olympic Committee. This was the second Open Day made by the Organizing Committee after the first Open Day in December 2012.

The third Open Day will be opened on November 15 and 16, and there will be two more similar activities in 2014.
