The Challenge was made up of several parts, including basketball shooting, rock climbing and bouldering, swimming, on-ice obstacle course race, football shooting, and obstacle course race. With the firing of the starting pistol, the young players rushed forward. After completing basketball shooting and rock climbing and bouldering sessions, they entered the 50m swimming session, which was followed by an on-ice obstacle course race, a football shooting session and a 400m obstacle course race. After fierce competition, the winner and the youngest finisher of each group were determined and the organising committee presented awards to them.

The venue of this Challenge—the China Administration of Sport for Persons with Disabilities—is the world's largest comprehensive Para sports training venue. It is composed of apartments for athletes, a research building, a comprehensive training hall, a swimming hall, a goalball hall, a strength training hall, a track and field stadium, and a bicycle training field. These facilities are fully equipped to ensure Para athletes have access to training and support required to enhance their skills. It is the training centre of China's national Para athletics team, which has used the place several times to prepare for the Paralympic Games and major international competitions. There are a large number of precious artifacts and documents relating to the Beijing 2008 Games and the Beijing 2022 Games in the collection of the centre. These exhibits have allowed the contestants to gain a better understanding of the tenacious spirit of athletes participating in the two editions of the Olympic Games.

The Beijing Olympic City Sports Culture Festival was founded by the Beijing Olympic City Development Association in 2010. After years of innovation-driven development, it has now become an influential Olympic-themed brand in several areas, including fitness, urban lifestyles, sports and culture. More than 15 million people have participated in this festival. This year's Beijing Olympic City Sports Culture Festival started on August 5. To highlight the unique charm of Beijing as the only city in the world to host both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, the festival delivered a wide range of activities, including the opening ceremony, “dual Olympic” themed camp, “dual Olympic” themed cultural activities, the 18th Beijing International Sports Film Week, Swimming Challenge, Little Triathlon, 10km Women's Race Lake Trail Challenge, Beijing Teqball Challenge, Sister City Cage Football Invitational, and Cage Football Friendship Match for Foreign Diplomats in China. These activities have received warm response and support from citizens. The Five Rings Medal Challenge put an emphasis on kids. The purpose of the Challenge, which was inspired by the competition events of the Beijing 2008 and Beijing 2022 Games, was to further unlock the potential of the Olympic legacy and encourage young people to take part in cultural activities with an Olympic theme. It was another successful attempt at highlighting the charm of Beijing as a “dual Olympic city” through innovative cultural activities and content.
