Teqball has become a spectator-friendly and highly engaging sport combining the physicality in football and agility in table tennis. During the competitions, the players demonstrated exceptional performance with stunning moves such as airborne scissor kicks, acrobatic mid-air spins and powerful headers. These captured the speed and agility of the sport, leaving behind many memorable moments.

Since 2020, BODA has been cooperating with FITEQ to promote Teqball in the Beijing-Zhangjiakou region. This year, BODA established Teqball bases at the Olympic Sports Centre and Tsinghua University. Teqball demonstrations and experience activities were held during the public fitness initiative commemorating the 73rd anniversary of Chairman Mao Zedong’s inscription “Developing sports and enhancing people’s physical fitness,” the 15th Beijing International Film Festival and the 22nd Magnolia Blossom Festival. These activities were all well-received. By popularising the sport of Teqball, BODA contributes to establishing Beijing as a prominent host of international sports events, extensively promotes public fitness activities and supports China in building a country strong in sports.

Teqball originated in Hungary in 2014 and has since then gained popularity worldwide. Currently, it is a training sport for leading football clubs and national teams and an official sport recognised by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) and the Organisation of Sports Federations of Oceania (OSFO). Established in 2017, FITEQ is the governing body presiding over the sport of Teqball.
